IADLC Endorses New York City Councilman Vincent Gentile for Congress in Staten Island and Brooklyn.
The Italian American Democratic Leadership Council (IADLC), the national voice of Italian Americans in the Democratic Party, announced their endorsement of Vinnie Gentile for Congress.
"Vinnie Gentile epitomizes all the values of the Italian American community," says IADLC Chair Arthur Gajarsa "We are proud to endorse a candidate who has the drive and passion to best serve the people of Brooklyn and Staten island." Family from Calabria Councilmember Vincent J. Gentile’s family is from Calabria, Italy. Mr. Gentile was born and raised in Bay Rridge where he still lives. As the Chair, Councilman Gentile represents New York City’s Italian American Caucus annually at the Consulate General of Italy’s Holocaust Remembrance Day. Mr. Gentile was chosen as one of the four Grand Marshalls of Brooklyn’s 33rd Annual Columbus Day parade because his political contributions to society exemplify traits that the Federation of Italian American Organizations values.
